Eskom Uganda Limited scooped the “quality award of excellence” in November. 2013. The award which was received at a lavish ceremony in Paris, France was awarded by the Global Trade Leaders’ Club in recognition of excellent performance and recognition to quality achievement.
According to the Global Trade Leader’s club, “the selection of firms deserving our trophies is based on recommendations from companies,industrial and service sectors, who are already members of the club(GTL). Every year, the companies send us their suggestions and information about the most representative firms from each sector and geographical area, through a survey conducted by the Global Trade Leaders' Club. These recommendations can also come from our web-based form, where our members regularly go to put forward new candidate companies who show strong business trajectories. All recommendations are of course checked by consulting companies, like, the Chamber of Commerce, Business Offices of the Embassies,before making the final decision to the grant a trophy”
Indeed, being awarded by the Global Trade Leaders´Club allows a company to become part of an international business organization with great communication channels to promote their brand. The granting of this trophy is recognition of the trajectory of the enterprises and the men and women leading them.
